Blood tests are crucial, not just because they reflect the client’s overall health, but because various parameters offer clues into why some people find it nearly impossible to lose weight. In extreme cases, some may gain weight despite trying their best with calorie control and exercise. I do a thorough study of these parameters before taking on any client, and this is an important feature of my LeanScience approach. ALL the parameters listed below need to be included in the report, because they will help me customize the program for you.
When you visit a lab/clinic for your test, you may find that the standard medical package often targets a subset of the parameters that I have requested for. Please check with the lab to ensure that you take a package covering most of the parameters and then request them to charge you individually for parameters that are added on.
Please request for a soft copy (PDF) of the report, so you can share it with LeanScience. Most labs today offer that. If you are sending across an earlier set of reports, please take good quality scans/pictures of the same.
Please email the reports to ameet@lean-scientist.com.

Please note, if your antibody numbers for the additional Thyroid tests are high, Ameet will have a discussion with you before enrolling you into the LeanScience program.
For Bangalore and Hyderabad based clients
LeanScience has a tie-up with Medyog, which offers home collection of blood samples early morning (fasted). They have created a specific package for LeanScience customers that covers the exact parameters we require (Please include the additional Thyroid tests while making the booking, if applicable).
Please note, we DO NOT have any commission model with them. This is purely for the convenience of our clients. All cost benefits that we have negotiated are passed on to our customers.
You can also get the tests done at a lab that you are comfortable with.
For clients from other cities in India
Kindly get your tests done through a reputed lab or hospital in your city. Dr Lal Pathlabs and Thyrocare have centers in most of the cities in India.
Please discuss the parameter list with the lab technicians. Common health packages cover a number of the parameters, you can then add the missing parameters individually. That works out to be more economical overall.
Thyrocare – You can choose the Healthy Me or the Aarogyam-X package, and add ESR, eGFR and Thyroid Antibodies additionally to the package.
Dr Lal Pathlabs – You can choose the Swasth Plus – Advanced Health checkup and add Vitamins (D and B12), Iron studies, eGFR and Thyroid Antibodies to the package.
The packages offered by the labs keep changing. Please do check with the service provider to ensure EVERY parameter is covered. Else you will need to get the sample taken all over again.
US / UK Clients
If you live in the UK or the US, blood tests are usually covered through a healthcare provider and the associated insurance. Only the parameters that are prescribed by your registered doctor are covered under insurance. We hope your doctor will accommodate the request to include the above parameters in your tests. If that is not the case, the other option is to cover the missing parameters through a self-funded lab test, which may be expensive. Kindly do make it a point to do a complete blood test if/whenever you visit India or South East Asia (as costs are significantly more reasonable).
